With Open Arms, We Open Minds

Discover Our Passion for Childcare Excellence in St. Louis

Step Ahead Child Care Academy has been a recognized landmark in St. Louis Hills since 1987. What began as a 10-child, licensed, in-home daycare has grown slowly to become the exceptional center you see today, always carefully retaining that personal feeling of "coming home." We provide superior childcare and an accelerated preschool program to the residents of St. Louis Hills and the surrounding areas. We take pride in our inviting facility, caring instructors, and our commitment to keeping your children in a safe, fun, educational environment. Enter through our secured doors facing Lansdowne, a quiet residential street, and walk into a world filled with love, learning, smiles, hugs, and children's laughter.

MISSION STATEMENT

Step Ahead Child Care Academy believes you have a right to expect the BEST! As a recognized quality childcare provider, we aim to provide worry-free parents with happy, secure children. We consistently fulfill our motto: "With Open Arms-We Open Minds." As a parent, you want your child to be happy, safe, and well cared for; we provide you with that assurance.

CHILDCARE FACILITY

Our modern facility was built in 2006 with the knowledge that parents expect and deserve more for their children than a huge building, where they are treated as commodities and lodged in crowded, noisy groups. We maintain a home-like atmosphere and uncommonly low ratios, with children learning and playing in smaller groups. This promotes the ideal environment for your child's intellectual and social development.

STAFF

Step Ahead Child Care Academy's staff is, quite simply, incomparable. When you meet them, you will feel the warmth, commitment, and infectious enthusiasm and observe these attributes' effect on the children in their classrooms. We believe that as a teacher works with a child, the child builds self-esteem. When teachers clean up with the children and when children clean up after themselves, children learn about an orderly life and responsibility. When teachers say no, children learn limits. When teachers hold, hug, and comfort a child, a child learns about love, trust, and supportive relationships with adults. Our teachers are always accessible and willing to lend assistance. They give more to your children than we or you could ever attempt to repay.
